Actress Elizabeth Banks Portrays 'A Little Heart Attack’

Heart Association video seeks to inspire women to put their health first

Actress Elizabeth Banks and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement created the short film “Just a Little Heart Attack” to educate women about the realities of heart disease and the sometimes unexpected symptoms of a heart attack. Inspired by true stories of real women, the film chronicles a busy mom who is ignoring her symptoms and putting herself last before finally realizing she may be having a heart attack. Go Red for Women hopes the film will engage and inspire women to put their health first and take care of their heart.

To mark American Heart Month, AARP produced this article in collaboration with the American Heart Association, along with more articles, videos and quizzes available at aarp.org/hearthealth.
